Meet Miss Jean!
Mattie and I were doing a photo shoot for an upcoming book at the National Arboretum. We met a friend and asked to take a picture with her. Do any of you guys who grew up in the 1970's recognize her? Miss Jean from The Hodge Podge Lodge Nature Show on TV. PBS! So she will be in Mattie's book! We had a wonderful chat and she is a great lady. Both Mattie and I were impressed!Right here in Washington DC! Our Hometown!

I was just thinking of that Old TV show that Miss Jean hosted. Thank you for posting the picture of her so recent. I really miss that show and wish children today had "Miss Jean" to teach them all the wonders of nature.
MISS JEAN!! How cool! (Remember when TV made you *smarter*?) Although my sister and I made fun of the way she said "Hodgepodge Lodge," we ADORED her and never missed her show!
Rock on, Miss Jean. Wish we had more people like you on this Beautiful Blue Marble with which God is trusting us...
I was looking up shows my son...he's 39 now with twin 7 yr. olds and a 5 yr. old...used to watch when he was a child and was delighted to come across this site and the picture of Miss Jean. I used to watch Hodge Podge Lodge along with him and it was the first time I was introduced to a Praying Mantis. Thanks again.
